Services
As a traditional midwife, I provide comprehensive holistic midwifery care throughout the childbearing year. I also offer annual exams and well-woman care. I take the time to get to know you, to listen to you, to answer your questions and to meet your individual needs. All routine visits are conducted in your home (unless you choose a reduced fee service). Visits include time for answering your questions and providing emotional and social support, as well as checking on the physical health of you and your baby.
You give birth in the comfort of your own home, attended by care providers you know and trust, and surrounded by the support people you choose. You’re never separated from your baby. Your choices are respected and honored. Care continues until 6-8 weeks after your baby’s birth. If you’ve never received care from a midwife, you will be pleasantly surprised!

Comprehensive Midwifery Care
- In-home prenatal visits monthly until 28 weeks gestation, then every 2 weeks until 36 weeks, then weekly until birth.
- On-call coverage 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for circumstances requiring immediate attention.
- In home blood draws for laboratory work.
- Referrals for ultrasounds and genetic testing, if desired.
- Informed choice for all testing and care options.
- Family-centered homebirth attended by a team of 3: two Certified Professional Midwives and an assistant.
- Complete newborn assessment and care.
- Referrals for specialized care.
Initial Consultation
- We now offer a birth center option at The Birth House.
Birth Center
- Home visits for mother and baby at 1 day, 3 days, 1-2 weeks, and 6 weeks.
- Phone support until our final visit.
- Breastfeeding support and referrals as needed.
- Filing of birth certificate.
- Newborn metabolic screening.
